Once upon a time, there was a man who, with a handful of employees, would spend late nights packing and shipping books from a tiny warehouse. The man’s name is Jeff Bezos, and this was the beginning of Amazon.com. That was in 1995. In 2012, they did over $61 billion in sales.

Eventually, this online bookstore offered just about every book title you could think of, and they were very competitively priced. As the years went by, this bookstore became larger and larger. In the beginning, Bezos only wanted to sell books. “We actually started to get e-mails from customers saying, `Would you consider selling music, because I’d really like to buy music this way, and DVDs, and electronics?” Bezos said in an interview.

They began to diversify and add more products. They also continued to add more sellers who, in turn, provided their products, all easily processed through one safe and secure order processing system. They made available goods from all over the world! It was like an International Mall, all in one place! They have gradually opened other Amazons in several countries, such as Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, and India.

Imagine being able to buy clothing, shoes, jewelry and watches, gourmet food, household goods, and even automotive parts and accessories. From kitchen gadgets and fine dinnerware, to small and large appliances. From Music CDs and MP3’s to Movies and Streaming Videos. Computers and Electronics, Toys and Video Games. You can even buy a guitar or a riding lawnmower. All online at Amazon.com! Anything you can think of for pets and people. In fact, just about anything you can find from individual sellers on the Internet can also be found on Amazon.com because many of these same manufacturers and retailers have a relationship with Amazon.

Not only that, they gradually built one of the biggest customer review databases of real customers’ opinions of products that they purchased. Their orange one to five-star ratings became something that people relied on in order to help them make an informed decision about their purchases. Good or bad, Amazon made it a point to not interfere with these reviews in an attempt to sway their customers’ buying choices.

They now have warehouses located all over the world, and they offer some of the best customer service, both friendly and professional. Many of their products can be delivered in one or two days, and free shipping and streaming videos are available with their Prime Membership.

I’ll bet there isn’t anything that Amazon.com doesn’t have. If you don’t believe me, use the search tool below and see if there’s a product that you can’t find on Amazon.com (other than unique one of a kind, homemade or customized items). If there’s a product that you can’t find, leave a comment. 🙂

I created this blog just so I could write about anything and everything that comes to mind, whatever I feel like saying, whenever I feel like posting. This is not a Christian-only site or a political board filled with propaganda and rhetoric. I want my blog to be fun and interesting, offering people helpful tips and information, as well as thoughtful and entertaining content. Thanks for visiting!
