The GooniesAccording to The Daily News, the film’s director, Richard Donner, confirmed a sequel is in the works, when speaking to photographers in Beverly Hills on Saturday.

Donner added that he hopes all of the flick’s original cast — including Oscar-nominated actor Josh Brolin, “Lord of the Rings” star Sean Astin, and 80s teen favorite Corey Feldman — would all be back.

He didn’t say if the sequel would pick up with the same characters nearly 30 years later, or if the original actors would make a cameo of sorts.

In 2010, Donner was against the idea of doing a sequel, so only time will tell if it comes to fruition. Read more

The Goonies (1985), Sean Astin (Actor), Josh Brolin (Actor), Richard Donner (Director). This is an all time favorite classic. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a must see for family movie night with the kids, or even without the kids.

Following a mysterious treasure map into a spectacular underground realm of twisting passages, outrageous booby-traps and a long-lost pirate ship full of golden dubloons, the kids race to stay one step ahead of a family of bumbling bad guys… and a mild-mannered monster with a face only a mother could love.

David LettermanI was watching David Letterman the other night when he started telling this story about fishing with his son, Harry. They spotted what they thought might be a bald eagle. David went on to spend an incredible amount of time the following day trying to find out what kind of bird it was. Well, that’s when he started thinking that maybe he should think about retiring and start spending more time with his family.

Here is a clip of David’s announcement:

CBS (CBS, Fortune 500) subsequently released a transcript of his remarks.

“We don’t have the timetable for this precisely down,” Letterman said. “I think it will be at least a year or so, but sometime in the not too distant future, 2015 for the love of God, in fact, Paul and I will be wrapping things up and taking a hike,” he added, referring to his longtime band leader Paul Shaffer.

Next week, David celebrates his 67th birthday. He said that he has spent half of his life behind this desk. He and Paul did 4014 shows on CBS and 1810 shows on NBC. David also did 90 shows on The Morning Show. That is a total of 5914 shows in 33 years.

Shortly after “Late Show” host David Letterman announced his upcoming retirement, “The Tonight Show’s” Jimmy Fallon paid tribute Friday night with a Letterman staple: a Top 10 list.

I loved the two of them together back then, and they look even better today. The two are engaged and reportedly expecting their first child.

Mila Kunis is guest starring with her fiance Ashton Kutcher in an upcoming episode of the CBS hit, Two and a Half Men, scheduled to air on Thursday, April 10, 2014. Here are some hilarious clips:
