As you can see from previous posts, Amazon offers many, many, many free Kindle books, along with their daily deals. Many of us have our favorite authors, and will usually grab one of their books when we see a good deal.

Just because a book is free, or under $3.99, doesn’t mean I’m going to download every one that comes along. Who has time to read all those books? I do try to feature books that have high customer reviews, and I’ve enjoyed many of the books that I recommend.

I also like to focus on books that don’t have to be read from cover to cover, or all at once. Quick reference books, cookbooks, how-to’s, etc.

What I like to do with my Kindle, in addition to reading my favorite novels, is to gather a great collection of reference books, and cookbooks. Then, there’s a lot of old classics that can be downloaded for free. For example, in my Kindle library, I have a dictionary, the Bible, classics by Jane Austin, Upton Sinclair, Robert Louis Stevenson, William Shakespeare. Books such as Anna Karenina, A Tale of Two Cities, Persuasion, Utopia, The Scarlet Letter, The Phantom of the Opera…the list goes on. I currently have over 100 e-books on my Kindle, and over 30 that I haven’t read, yet.

I think it’s important to encourage our youngsters to read from an early age, and the little ones love their bedtime stories.

If your young readers don’t have an e-reader, consider giving them a Kindle. The new Paperwhite Kindle has an innovative built-in light and can be read in dark environments, like under the covers. 🙂 The world’s most advanced e-reader – higher resolution, higher contrast touchscreen with built-in light and 8-week battery life

The following two tabs change content below.
I created this blog just so I could write about anything and everything that comes to mind, whatever I feel like saying, whenever I feel like posting. This is not a Christian-only site or a political board filled with propaganda and rhetoric. I want my blog to be fun and interesting, offering people helpful tips and information, as well as thoughtful and entertaining content. Thanks for visiting!
