My old friend, Tina, passed away on March 14, 2011. She had lung cancer. She was 57 years old, two years younger than me. Today would have been her 58th birthday.
This photo was taken at my house Christmas 1992; we were closer then.
I think of her every day, and thought I would post this video of “My Old Friend,” by Tim McGraw:
I Am Not There
Do not stand by my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not dieIn the early morning when you rise
I am the glint of sunlight in your eyesI am the light warm morning breeze
gently brushing against the leavesI am the glistening drops of rain
sliding down a window paneI am an apple plucked from a tree
I am a butterfly flying freeI am a bright star in the sky
I am a bird soaring highI am on my way to somewhere
Some day I’ll meet you thereDo not stand by my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die~Susan
