According to The Daily News, the film’s director, Richard Donner, confirmed a sequel is in the works, when speaking to photographers in Beverly Hills on Saturday.
Donner added that he hopes all of the flick’s original cast — including Oscar-nominated actor Josh Brolin, “Lord of the Rings” star Sean Astin, and 80s teen favorite Corey Feldman — would all be back.
He didn’t say if the sequel would pick up with the same characters nearly 30 years later, or if the original actors would make a cameo of sorts.
In 2010, Donner was against the idea of doing a sequel, so only time will tell if it comes to fruition. Read more

I was watching David Letterman the other night when he started telling this story about fishing with his son, Harry. They spotted what they thought might be a bald eagle. David went on to spend an incredible amount of time the following day trying to find out what kind of bird it was. Well, that’s when he started thinking that maybe he should think about retiring and start spending more time with his family.
This is the first time these two have been back together on the small screen since the sitcom, That 70s Show, where they first met in 1998. I loved the two of them together back then, and they look even better today. The two are engaged and reportedly expecting their first child.
